Head of Legal Department, RD Construction, Evgeniya Byvsheva explained how legal issues are addressed at her company in an interview for the Legal Advisor in Construction magazine.
A BUILDING COMPANY IS IN NEED OF AN EXPERT IN CASE-STUDY WORK AND A LAWYER FORMING AND ANALYZING CONTRACTUAL WORK AT THE COMPANY FOR LEGAL SERVICES TO BE PUT IN PLACE. AT PRESENT THERE ARE THREE FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES IN THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT IN RD CONSTRUCTION: HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT, LAWYER AND LAWYER’S ASSISTANT
In Evgeniya’s opinion, not all companies actually need legal departments: everything depends on the company’s size and scope of business activity. A good alternative for small businesses and sole entrepreneurs is legal services by subscription, since on account of limited legal work it’s easier and less expensive to seek help from a law firm than to add a lawyer to the payroll.
