On July 2, the business quarter Romanov Dvor will be one of the venues for the Festival which will be part of the Sixth Moscow Urban Forum, with RD Group being its official partner this year.

Romanov Dvor continues extending its boundaries, rapidly evolving into a center of culture and education. On July 2 the business quarter will transform into a real lecture hall where everyone can be updated on the latest trends in urban planning and contemporary architecture.

What is actually needed for comfortable living in the city and how can the world experience be organically integrated into the urban space of Moscow? Leading overseas and Russian urban planners and architects will answer these and other relevant questions.

The headliners of the Festival weekend in Romanov Dvor will be world-renowned Chilean architects David Basulto and David Assael whose website, in a matter of several years, became a global information and education resource for architects, urban planners and all those who are interested in the urban development process. The founders of will highlight the influence of architecture on the development of the contemporary social medium. Besides lectures, Romanov Dvor will host the opening ceremony for the Color Images of the City exposition by well-known street photographer Dmitry Zverev who authored the MetrObrazy and History of Metro series.

    Other invited lecturers include:
  • Tim Flynn (UK), principal of Tim Flynn Architects, Member of the Architects Registration Board at the Royal Institute of British Architects;
  • Alexander Zmeul (Russia), editor-in-chief of the leading architecture resource;
  • Alexander Lavrov (Russia), co-founder of the Russian Virtual and Augmented Reality Association and teacher at the British Higher School of Design;
  • Alexandra Sheiner, architect at the SPEECH bureau, prize winner of the All-Russian Festival of Young Architects “Perspektiva-2014”, lecturer with the Level One educational project.

This year the Festival of the Moscow Urban Forum will for the first time be held in summer and will be staged on a unique venue of Romanov Dvor – an open terrace of the business quarter with wonderful views of the capital city. The guests will plunge into a pleasant atmosphere and will be able to participate in the plain air “Grani Goroda”.
