Skolkovo recently hosted the residents' meeting of residential areas 9, 10 and 11, which are being built by RD Construction.
As construction works are coming to an end, at this point 55% of apartments and 25% of houses have been booked. Nearly half of 160 residential units are reserved for Skoltech professors. The rest are for start-uppers and partners, totaling around 60 companies that decided to rent property for their employees.
The Fund's executives are paying attention to requests and comments issued by the tenants, so the meeting was held to address important questions and propositions, related to the residential areas.
Nailya Borodina, Projects Director at LLC UDAS Skolkovo, said that the tenants are satisfied with the quality of property, where, by the way, "smart home" technology will be installed.
Viktor Vekselberg, who met the tenants personally, also attended the meeting that day. Concluding the meeting, he even revealed that he is considering renting property at Skolkovo Innovation Center.
Altough, the moving into the first apartments at the Innovattion Center, as expected, will start in the first quarter of next year, the first tenant, Marina Stepanova, was given a cat as a house warming gift. As everything at Skolkovo is about innovations, it's not a real cat, but a robotic one. It is suggested tthat every new tenant will receive the same kind of gift.
Oleg Zhukov, Managing Partner RD Construction, noted " Our company, who's expertise lies in construction of hi tech facilities, considers this a landmark and most important project at the moment. 60 highest quality engineers were involved at the time of construction at Skolkovo, whereas the total number of RD Construction employees on the project exceeded 1000."
Skolkovo Technopark District D2 Residential Area will be the first residential property at the Russian Innovation Center.
